2013 Fashion Trend: White Jeans

2013 Fashion Trend, White Jeans, Over 40 Fashion, Fashion FridayIt’s Fashion Friday! What are you wearing this week?

I love white jeans. They just seem more dressed up than blue jeans, yet just as easy and comfortable.

So when I saw the runways, way back in February 2012, showing white jeans for winter, I jumped on board. I have to say that I have just a bit of hesitation as I pull them on, but I go through with it every time!

My daughters tell me that the Loft  jeans I wear need to be kept to summer. They are a bit cropped and look best when cuffed and worn with flats. But I’m wearing them with boots and in our current season, just the same!

White jeans are more than okay for post–Labor Day weekends; they’re seriously cool—and more sophisticated than blue denim. It’s important to pick an ungimmicky straight-leg style and avoid bare, summery footgear (strappy high heels, open-toe sandals, flip-flops). Boots, preferably in suede or rough-hewn leather, are excellent for taking these pants into fall and winter. Brown, because it’s more casual, is generally better than black. And white denim is a great canvas for a hit of metallics or animal prints—two of my favorite ways to depart from the usual neutrals. -Adam Glassman, Creative Dir. for O magazine

  1. I adore winter white! The only reason I don’t wear it in Philly is that they’d be soooo dirty :-)

    Stopping by from Fashion Friday!

  2. Great look! I love white denim for fall and winter! Unfortunately mine got too big and had to be donated and I’ve yet to find a great replacement. ;)
